Prevents High-Risk Pressure Sores

The dynamic Stratus Air Alternating Cushion is proven to be extremely reliable and effective at preventing high-risk grades 1-4 pressure sores. The cushion is made from flexible but strong PVC and consists of two sections: left and right.

Each side of the cushion can be adjusted independently to ensure the patient remains comfortable and maintains the best posture possible. The air cells are suitable for patients up to 120kg.

Alternatively Inflating Cells

The BOS Stratus Air Pressure Cushion has been designed with two sets of cells: group A and group B. These parallel cells are alternatively inflated throughout the cushion and are programmed on a ten minute cycle. Group A cells are inflated first for five minutes. Once five minutes are over, the group A cells deflate and the group B air cells inflate for five minutes to support the client.

This ensures the patient’s blood circulates properly to each area in turn. It also gives your patient respite from the pressure that builds when you sit in the same position for too long. The cushion’s innovative design reduces the likelihood of your patient getting decubitus sores and ulcers.

Who Can Benefit Most from the Pressure Cushion?

Pressure ulcers usually affect those with underlying health conditions that make it difficult to move around. If you work with patients who are confined to their bed or sit in a chair for long periods of time, the Anti-Decubitus Cushion is ideal to help treat them. People who have conditions that affect the flow of blood in the body, such as type 2 diabetes, are also more vulnerable to pressure sores.
