How Do I Find the Right Size Support for Me?
The Deep Abdominal Binder is available in four different sizes. To find the right one for you, simply measure the circumference of your waist as shown in the image below:
Once you have your measurement, please consult the sizing chart beneath to select the correct size for you.
Size | Waist Circumference |
---|---|
Small | 22 – 28″ (56 – 71cm) |
Medium | 27 – 33″ (68 – 84cm) |
Large | 32 – 38″ (81 – 96cm) |
Extra Large | 37 – 43″ (94 – 109cm) |
What If My Measurement Falls Between Sizes?
If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend selecting a size up. A support that is too small for you will roll up and slide upwards, which is uncomfortable and inefficient.
How Supportive Is a Deep Abdominal Binder?
In order to enhance healing, the Deep Abdominal Binder is designed to provide a supportive fit around the waist to encourage tired and loose ligaments back into place. The tension of the binder can be adjusted depending on your requirements and condition.
What Is the Value of Supportive Compression?
Supportive but comfortable compression prevents worn out ligaments, tendons and muscles encouraging incorrect posture. An abdominal binder enforces correct postural habits in these muscles and relieves the pain associated with lumbar and midback fatigue.
How Do I Apply and Wear the Deep Abdominal Binder?
Correctly applying and wearing the Deep Abdominal Binder couldn’t be easier. Simply wrap it around your body using the elasticated fulcrum before fastening both sides with the adjustable touch-and-close fastening system.
For full instructions, please see below:
- Detach waist straps fully
- Wrap the belt around the lower back, placing the widest section at the bottom
- Fasten the brace down at the front using the hook and loop fastening
- Increase pressure until comfortable by stretching the additional side-pulls around the front of the brace
- Fasten side-pulls down at the hook and loop fastening area
How Does the Deep Abdominal Binder Work to Relieve Pain?
Poorly aligned muscles can cause pain in the entire body, leaving you hunched over, poorly positioned and in pain. Designed to be seamlessly worn all day, the Deep Abdominal Binder allows the user to adjust the tension of their belt, encouraging correct posture by compressing the muscles in your lower back into place.
How Does the Abdominal Support Binder Adjust Tension?
The Deep Abdominal Binder has two main sections; the main body of the binder itself which attaches using a hook and loop fastening, and one additional strap on either side which allows the user to increase the compression level of their fit. These elasticated belts can be attached at the top or bottom of the brace, allowing the user to further tailor their fit.

Absolutely, the Deep Abdominal Binder has proven itself to be exceptionally effective as a support for hernia. Our customers report excellent results from using this abdominal binder to make life with a hernia much easier and enjoyable.
Is the Deep Abdominal Binder Suitable for Postpartum Recovery?
The Deep Abdominal Binder can be worn after giving birth, including a C-section. If, however, you’re trying to find the perfect post-pregnancy belly belt, we strongly recommend visiting our Belly Bandit range, in particular the Belly Bandit Original Post-Pregnancy Belly Belt. These products have been designed specifically to help women during and after pregnancy, and are more suited to your specific needs.
How Can an Abdominal Binder Help with Diastasis Recti?

Wearing an abdominal binder aids in holding the tissue, ligaments and bones in place to stabilise the pelvis. This allows you to begin exercising earlier in the recovery stage.
Can I Wear the Abdominal Binder During Pregnancy?
No, we would advise against using the Deep Abdominal Binder during pregnancy. If you’re looking for a belly belt that is suitable as support during and after pregnancy, we recommend the Belly Bandit 2-in-1 Post-Pregnancy Belly Belt, or the Belly Bandit Upsie Belly Belt for support during pregnancy.

This abdominal binder features a wraparound design with simple anterior touch-and-close fastening, fully bound edges and soft padded front panel. It is made of high quality ventilated elastic that ensures excellent breathability and comfort even when you wear the support for longer periods of time.
Can I Wear It at Night?
The Deep Abdominal Binder is exceptionally comfortable, and can be worn even while you sleep, which is especially recommended at the start of your recovery. After the first few weeks, you can gradually wear the binder less and less.
Can I Wash the Deep Abdominal Binder?
The abdominal binder is made predominantly from ventilated elastic, and we don’t recommend machine washing it. You can, however, hand wash the binder with mild detergent in cold water, and hang it to dry.
